Dr Toritseju Rita Pessu Ishieka is a Senior Lecturer in Business Management at the Leicester Castle Business School, º£½ÇÉçÇø, Leicester. She holds a PhD in Business and Management, an MSc in Management and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Biology. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and the First Academic Doctor from the New Institute of Management, Great Manchester, United Kingdom.
Before joining the Leicester Castle Business School, º£½ÇÉçÇø, she was a Senior Lecturer in International Business at The University of Law, Birmingham Campus. She also lectured in the School of Leadership and Management, University of Bedfordshire, Birmingham Campus as a Senior Lecturer in Management. She worked in the Department of Strategy, Management and Marketing, Birmingham City University, as a Lecturer in Business and the School of Strategy and Leadership, Coventry University, as an Assistant Lecturer in International Business. Before her academic career, she worked in the field of sales and marketing for 9 years with companies operating in both the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
She is a published author, and her research interests lie in the broad fields of international business, entrepreneurship and strategic management of SMEs, consumer behaviour, inter-organisational relationships, creating shared value, qualitative studies, developing economies, and emerging markets.
